Your logo is a big part of promoting you.
If it doesn't look good, you don't look good.
When sending us artwork there are some things you need to know...
Vector drawing are images created in programs that use mathematical formulas to create their shapes & lines. They can be enlarged or reduced without altering their look. Since every product has a different imprint area, the ability to resize an image without losing quality makes using vector artwork ideal.
RASTER drawings use pixels (small squares) to build up an image. Since there are no smooth curves involved, when an image is enlarged, the pixels become more obvious and the image becomes "jagged." The higher the resolution the more pixels are in a given area and the "jaggedness" is reduced. Raster Images are also called Bitmap.
Vector drawings are prefered because we are
constantly resizing logos to fit the item and its purpose.
Following are the formats accepted.
Accepted Formats - Fonts should be converted to outlines:
Vector (Preferred)
* Adobe Illustrator CS3 or lower (.ai file)
* Eps files from vector programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Freehand (.eps file)
* InDesign CS5 or lower
Raster
* Adobe Photoshop CS3 lower
* Tiff images saved at a minimum of 300 resolution
* Jpeg images saved at a high level
Formats Not Accepted:
* Corel Draw
* Quark
* Office programs such as Microsoft Word/Works/Publisher

Please contact your sales representative to get the imprint area for your product.
If Excel Group creates your imprint layout you will receive an e-mailed proof (if you would prefer it faxed let your sales representative know). In addition to the layout you will be asked to pay close attention to Spelling, Numbers, Placement, Quantity, Colors and In-Hand dates.
If your logo requires that you use a certain PMS color please let us know.
Most products have a list of stock colors that are available to choose from free of charge.
If a specific PMS color/ink must be ordered then there is usually a small charge.
There is a standard $15 charge to size and transfer camera ready artwork.
If additional attention is required there is a $50/hr charge.
